Unleaded gasoline is recommended for use in all our gasoline engines. Use clean, fresh, lead free gasoline with an octane rating of AT LEAST 77 or higher for a side valve (L-head) engine or AT LEAST 85 or higher for an overhead valve (OHV) engine.

We recommend using a gasoline stabilizer such as Briggs & Stratton Fresh Start Fuel Additive (part # BS 100002) with your fuel to keep it fresh and clean.

It is also recommended that fuel is purchased in quantities that can be used within 30 days. This will assure fuel freshness and volatility tailored to the season. Do not mix oil with gasoline in our 4 cycle engines.
