Barrette's Small Engines Inc. - SmallEngines.ca FAQ's

Will the warranty cover replacement of rusted parts?
CAUTION! Before performing maintenance on any unit, always disconnect and ground the spark plug wire.

The warranty covers manufacturing defects. Rust is a result of exposure to an exterior element or chemical and is not a manufacturing defect. All of our sheet metal parts are chemically treated to aid in the prevention of rust. Unfortunately, this is not a guarantee against rusting. Exposure to the elements, chemicals (such as fertilizers & road salt) and other factors beyond our control can also lead to rusting.

If rust appears to be forming, clean rusted areas and re-finish or lubricate moving parts as needed. For further assistance with this procedure, please search the web or contact your local hardware or home improvement store for assistance.

If there is concern regarding a possible warranted manufacturers defect, as detailed in the product warranty, please visit a local authorized service center for proper inspection and diagnosis as explained by the warranty. Or, contact us by e-mail warranty@smallengines.ca and a warranty representative will be glad to help.
