Barrette's Small Engines Inc. - SmallEngines.ca FAQ's

What is a chipper/shredder reduction ratio?

A "reduction ratio" expresses the overall abilities of a chipper/shredder to reduce the volume of debris.

For example, if is has a 10 to 1 (10:1) ratio, this essentially means that if you have 10 bags of unshredded debris, the machine can chip/shred it down to the size of 1 bag of the same size.
