Barrette's Small Engines Inc. - SmallEngines.ca FAQ's

What is a mechanical engine governor?
Mechanical Engine Governor:   This design of engine speed regulator uses internal weights on the flywheel/crankshaft that are affected whenever a variation in work load is exerted on the engine. When these weights are affected, the engine automatically calls for more or less fuel to increase or decrease engine output when more or less power is needed.
