Barrette's Small Engines Inc. - SmallEngines.ca FAQ's

Why will my engine run for 30 minutes and then shut off?
This condition is typically caused by engine overheating and is more commonly referred to as 'vapor-lock'. Engine overheating may be caused by several factors (cooling fins clogged with debris/grass, insufficient oil, restricted main carburetor jet, etc.).

To best determine the cause of failure, please consult with us or a Briggs & Stratton Authorized Servicing Dealer in your local area.
