Briggs & Stratton Corp. Named WalMart Canada's "Corporate Vendor Partner Of The Year"

Briggs & Stratton was recently named Wal-Mart Canada's "Corporate Vendor partner of the Year" [Lawn & Garden Division] and overall "Corporate Vendor Partner of the Year" for 2008. The award was presented at a Wal-Mart Vendor Recognition meeting last month at Wal-Mart Canada's headquarters.

"We're incredibly humbled by this award" said Vince Shiely, President; yard Power Products Group at Briggs & Stratton. "We continually strive to give the best possible service to our customers and it's an honor to be recognized".

The award ceremony recognizes outstanding contributions to Wal-Mart Canada's growth and profitability by their elite vendors. Other critical measures included Sales and Market Share Growth, Fill Rate, working with Logistics to achieve efficiencies, continual advising of the competitive landscape and attention to environmental stewardship.

Briggs & Stratton was invited to the ceremony as one of three nominees, and received the award at the ceremony. Shiely added, "Those nominated are typical the largest and most sophisticated vendors to the North American mass merchant and food retail channels, making this award even more humbling."
