Opportunity Awaits at GIE+Expo 2010

October 11th, 2010:

The Green Industry and Equipment Expo (GIE+EXPO) is just around the corner, and as it approaches, the anticipation is growing at Briggs & Stratton. The 2010 GIE+EXP, America's largest show for outdoor power equipment, will take place Thursday, October 28 through Saturday, October 30 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky. Every year, outdoor power equipment manufacturers reveal new products and programs at GIE+EXPO, and Briggs & Stratton will have some exciting new products to show attendees this year.

Visitors at GIE+EXPO 2010 will have the opportunity to view 750 exhibits at the Kentucky Exposition Centre. Briggs & Stratton's corporate booth (#7104), will surely be busy as the Commercial Power, Consumer Marketing, Home Power, and Service Marketing groups feature new programs and products including,
  • Vanguard Single-Cylinder Engines and Three-Year Global Commercial Limited Warranty
  • The Commercial Turf Series by Briggs & Stratton with 5-step Integrated Cyclonic Air Management System
  • The Symphony II Power Management System and the new 11kW and 13kW Standby Generator Systems by GE
  • Briggs & Stratton Genuine Parts - New Interactive DIY packaging with 2D Quick-Response barcode scanning

Briggs & Stratton's Service Division is especially excited to be exhibiting in GIE+EXPO's High Performance Parts & Accessories Area (HPPA) this year. In this area, dealers will learn about different programs to help them increase their business revenue and attract new customers. In Briggs & Stratton's HPPA booth (#480) dealers will learn about the advantages of using Briggs & Stratton genuine parts for repairs and tune-ups on Briggs & Stratton engines.

Our HPPA booth will also highlight the Briggs & Stratton Repower for Green program that helps dealers sell repower engines for outdoor power equipment to their customers. In addition, The Power Portal, Briggs & Stratton's dealer-only website, will be demonstrated. The Power Portal contains technical documents, training materials and videos as well as the latest sales and marketing information for dealers to use.

On Friday, October 30, Briggs & Stratton will be sponsoring a lunch exclusively for Diamond Dealers, Commercial Power Dealers, Home Standby Generator Dealers and their guests featuring keynote speaker Todd Teske, Briggs & Stratton's CEO and President. During the lunch, attendees will gain insights on the state of the OPE industry. Mr. Teske will also discuss Briggs & Stratton's commitment to supporting the growth and success of the dealer network.

There is no better opportunity than at GIE+EXPO 2010 for dealers to see the latest in outdoor power equipment and learn new ways of attracting customers and increasing business. It is sure to be an event worth attending. See you in Louisville!
